Country's Capitol

Washington D.C. is home to many great United States attractions, and filled to the brim with historical tours and museums, but it's also home to a great nightlife scene. Everyone from interns to senators can be seen relaxing along Capitol Hill after a long day in the office. Happy hours galore make for a fun evening, and the metro provides an easy to use, inexpensive way to get around to different sections of D.C. From the Hawk and Dove to the Union Pub, the pubs located just steps from the nation's capitol offer a variety of appeal for any night on the town. If drinking isn't the ticket, the theaters in D.C. could be your calling. Each year different brilliant shows appear at the National Theatre, the Lincoln Theatre, and many other local stages and provide a world of entertainment. Another option is to tour the city at night. D.C. the Lights is a night tour of all the major attractions and D.C. monuments that your inner-tourist is bursting to explore.

On another side of town, Dupont Circle is packed with dance clubs and fantastic nightlife. The Fly Lounge and Five both have a fun, energetic ambiance and bring in crowds all week long. If hunger strikes, The Front Page offers both a restuarant and bar with online games, with above average bar food. For great food on the go, Jumbo Slice Pizza will give you the largest slice of pizza you've ever had for the lowest price. Another option in Dupont Circle is Veritas wine bar. Veritas not only maintains a wide selection of premier wines, but offers mixology classes and fantastic happy hour deals ideal for a good time with a significant other or a amazing group of friends. Georgetown is another amazing area of D.C. One place worth making the trip to Georgetown is the Saloun Jazz Bar. The Saloun is a Georgetown staple, and a live music mecca. It's worth the trip on the metro!
